Dreamy Riverfront Wedding at the Deep River Yacht Club
Erin and Tilo’s wedding was probably one of my most anticipated weddings of our 2023 season.
Erin gave me full reign over her colour palette, something I think many more brides should do, which allowed me to choose the very best of the season.
Getting to choose flowers that are at their peak quality at any given moment of the growing season, results in designs that display the very essence of a farmer-florist’s passion and creativity.

Months prior, I created a loose grow plan around a neutral nude, peach, and blush palette, but once we approached the date of Erin’s wedding, I allowed the season to dictate the textures and smaller elements that I used along with my focal flowers.
Our focal flowers for the bridal bouquet included Rock Run Ashley Dahlias, blush, white and light brown Lisianthus, and Anastasia Roses.
Notable floral elements included hydrangea paniculata flowers, yarrow, foxgloves, and Japanese tassel fern.
Dress: David’s Bridal
Erin requested a woodland vibe, which meant lots of fun textural elements and ferns.
Erin’s expression when I delivered her flowers was picture-perfect. Her gasps of excitement reminded me of why I absolutely love my job and how it truly is an honour to flower some of the biggest days in people’s lives.
The groom’s boutonniere features brown Lisianthus, Lisianthus, yarrow, sweet Annie, strawflower, and Japanese tassle fern.
Centerpiece includes dahlias, china asters, lisianthus, phlox, sweet annie, baptisia foilage, strawflower, statice, and cosmos.
The wedding took place at the Deep River Yatch & Tennis Club, a popular venue in our area. Both forested and riverfront backdrops perfectly accented Erin & Tilo’s wedding.
A warm congratulations to Erin & Tilo!
