Sept 29: Farm to Fork (Brunch) Workshop - In Defense of Food

You’re invited to join us this autumn for our Farm to Fork Bunch Workshop; a fully immersive moment in our garden.

This workshop is intended to give you a momentary respite from the every day and to experience how the garden meets our physical, spiritual and mental health needs.

The morning will begin with a behind-the-scenes tour of our market gardens. During the tour, we’ll discuss the spiritual connections we’ve fostered in the garden and how they influence the way we grow. We’ll also discuss how we work to maximize flavour and nutrition in our growing practices

Next, we’ll sit down to a small 3-course vegetarian brunch, inspired by what’s in season on the Urban Farm. Each meal highlights freshly harvested ingredients from the farm.

As we enjoy each plate, we’ll discover ways to rethink the way we eat by incorporating more plants in our everyday meals and changing our relationship with cooking.

We can’t wait to discover the garden more deeply with you.

  • A full menu featuring farm-grown ingredients

Planned Workshop Menu*:

Appetizer: Root Vegetable Salad with Pistachio Vinaigrette (Contains NO meat, but does contain Dairy)

Roasted farm-grown turnips, beets, rainbow carrots, and radishes on a bed of farm-grown arugula and spinach with house-made dressing.

Main: Green Goddess Scramble w/ Kale & Blistered Tomatoes + Sourdough Toast (Contains NO meat, but does contain Dairy)

Scrambled local eggs topped with sauteed kale and cherry tomatoes, aside 50% whole wheat sourdough toast.

Dessert: Apple Maple Cinamon Pancakes (Contains NO meat, but does contain Dairy)

Mini cinnamon pancakes topped with local apples and local maple syrup.
